The Sisters of St.Joseph's of Chambéry is one of many Catholic Religious Congregations who dedicate themselves to God under the patronage of St.Joseph. The Congregation traces its origin and spirit to a community of six women who came together in 1650 in Le Puy, France, at the urging of John Pierre Medaille SJ. |
| Through active service and contemplative prayer, their lives would be "dedicated to work for unity where they are and the practice of all the spiritual and corporal works of mercy" that would "most benefit the dear neighbour." |

Mission Statement
As Sisters of St.Joseph we commit ourselves wholeheartedly to be renewed in our relationship with God, with one another, with others and so to be a living, active presence of God's love open to the needs of the times.
